Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Vakya Gnani ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our mobile application and related websites, including https://vakyagnani.in. This policy is provided to meet Google Play and advertising partner requirements. By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Who we are
Vakya Gnani (వాక్య జ్ఞాని) is a Telugu Bible quiz application developed and published by Joseph Kumar, an individual developer. Contact: jk7apps@gmail.com.
3. Information we collect
Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account, along with a unique account identifier needed to authenticate you.
Information you provide. You may set a display name, upload a profile photo from your camera or photo library, choose a language (English or Telugu), and control notification preferences.
App activity. We store Bible journey progress, quiz answers and scores, crowns, streaks, leaderboard rankings, live quiz registrations and attempts, and similar in-app activity so we can operate features you use.
Device and notifications. If you enable notifications, we collect a device push token. We may also collect basic technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, and approximate network information needed to run and secure the App.
Advertising data. Because the App shows ads, Google AdMob and its partners may collect advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID or Apple Identifier for Advertisers), IP address, device and app information, and data about ad views and interactions. See Section 5.
4. How we use your information
We use information to: create and maintain your account; provide Bible quizzes, progress tracking, leaderboards, and live quizzes; personalize your experience (for example language and display name); send notifications you have opted into; show and measure advertisements; prevent fraud and abuse; and operate, maintain, and improve the App. We do not post on your Google account or send marketing emails without your consent.
5. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements, which may include banner, interstitial, native, and rewarded ads. Ads help us offer the App free of charge.
AdMob and its partners (including Google) may collect and process data such as: device advertising identifiers; IP address; device make, model, and operating system; app version; time zone and approximate location derived from IP address; and information about the ads shown to you and how you interact with them. This data may be used to serve ads, measure ad performance, combat fraud, and, where permitted, show personalized ads based on your interests and app activity.

You can limit ad personalization in device settings. On Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization (wording may vary by device). On iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, and Apple Advertising settings. Where required by law (for example in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland), we or our advertising partners may request your consent before serving personalized ads. You can withdraw consent or opt out of personalization at any time through those prompts or your device settings. Opting out of personalized ads does not remove ads; you will still see ads that are less relevant to you.
6. App permissions
Depending on your device and how you use the App, we may request: Internet access (required to sign in, load content, and show ads); camera and photos (optional, only if you choose to set a profile photo); and notifications (optional, for quiz and activity alerts). You can deny optional permissions; core quiz features will still work.
7. Third-party services
We use service providers who process data on our behalf or, for advertising, as independent controllers under their own policies:
- Google Sign-In and Firebase (authentication and push notifications)
- Supabase (database, file storage, and backend services)
- Google AdMob and Google advertising partners (ads and measurement)
We share only what is needed for these services to operate. Their use of your information is governed by their privacy policies.
8. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information: with the service providers listed above; when required by law or legal process; to protect the rights, safety, or security of users, the public, or the App; or with your direction. Leaderboard and live quiz features may show your display name, avatar, and scores to other users. Advertisers and ad networks may receive advertising identifiers and related data as described in Section 5.
9. Data retention
We keep your account and progress data while your account is active. If you request deletion, we delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, usually within 30 days, except where we must retain information for legal, security, tax, or dispute-resolution purposes. Advertising partners may retain data according to their own policies.
10. Your rights and account deletion
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. You can update your display name, photo, language, and notification settings in the App.
To permanently delete your account and associated personal data, submit the account deletion form: https://forms.gle/7dPM6STV7d3JBSTx5. You may also email jk7apps@gmail.com with the subject "Account deletion". Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. We will process valid requests in accordance with applicable law. Public leaderboard history may be anonymized rather than fully erased where needed to preserve contest integrity.
11. Children's privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We do not present the App as designed for children and do not use the App to target ads to children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
12. International data transfers
We and our service providers (including Google and Supabase) may process and store information in India and other countries. Those countries may have data-protection laws that differ from the laws where you live. By using the App, you understand that your information may be transferred to these locations.
13. Security
We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections and access controls, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy in the App (Profile > Privacy Policy) and at https://vakyagnani.in/privacypolicy with a revised date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
